Collection: Velocity & Pitching

The pitching side of the GPS Athletics catalog. These are the tools Coach Grady reaches for every day at the facility to build velocity, sharpen command, and keep arms healthy across a full season. Everything here has been used with real pitchers, from youth players throwing their first bullpens to college and pro arms chasing the next few miles per hour.

Weighted balls: Soft-shell sets ranging from 3.5 to 32 oz let you overload and underload the throwing pattern safely, training the arm to move faster while building strength through the full range of motion.

Arm care: Resistance bands and recovery tools for warm-ups, prehab, and post-throwing maintenance, so pitchers stay durable through the grind of a season.

Command tools: Targets and machine balls built to turn the strike zone into reps. Repeatable feedback on location is how raw velocity becomes usable, in-game command.

Digital programs: Coach Grady's off-season and in-season plans give you the structure behind the gear, from velocity protocols to lifting and throwing cycles you can run at home or with your team.

Not sure where to start? Pair a weighted ball set with an arm care band and one of the digital programs. That combination covers velocity, durability, and the plan to put them together.

  • What weighted balls should I start with?

If you're under 14, start with the 5 oz and 7 oz balls only. 14-17, full set with the 14 oz cap. 17+, full set. The Soft-Shell Weighted Ball Set has all 6 weights so you grow into it.

  • Seamed or smooth?

Get the seamed set. The seams give you the same grip as a real baseball, so the work transfers directly to the mound. Smooth is for connection drills only.

  • Which bands do I need?

The Pitcher Arm Care Bands come with both warm-up (red) and strength (black) resistance levels in one set. That's all you need for daily arm care. No need to buy more.

  • When do I use the targets?

Every bullpen. Command is what separates HS pitchers who get drafted from the ones who don't. The River and Sure-Strike train the corners, the chase, and the in-zone strike.
